  Comments do not adversely affect the size of the application or its performance, but they make reading and understanding the code easier for any programmer. This means less costs associated with the project in the future, whether you hire programmers or continue to contract through Variable Software™.

Scalability

• Rather than piece together working parts, we analyze your company's individual needs. Does each of your customers prefer a different report layout? Maybe you only need Product A to work with the system, but Products B, C, and D will be up and running within four years.
  
  If an application is highly scalable, then it is easily upgraded to adapt to whatever your future needs are. Along with Maintainability, this decreases both the time to alter the program(s) and the costs to implement the changes.
